This year’s Heartland Homecoming Parade will take place in downtown Elizabethtown beginning at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 27th. The streets will be closed and there will be a downtown event at the conclusion of the parade.
Beginning at noon on Saturday, August 27th, Dixie Highway from Mulberry to Central, North and South Main will continue to stay closed until five o’clock in the evening. There will be food vendors and live music all day. Each downtown business has been invited to participate in this event with a sidewalk sale or event at their store front.
“This parade truly has become a Heartland Homecoming for our whole county,” said Sarah Vaughn, Events Coordinator for the City of Elizabethtown. “We decided to host this event for the “already built-in crowd” to continue the celebration and to support our downtown revitalization efforts.”
The band schedule is below. This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are invited to shop in downtown stores and visit the restaurants.
